September 2014: Gardener Publications LLC will be one of the event sponsors for Woofstock Music Festival 2014! This event will raise funds and awareness about the services that the Humane Society provides such as their low cost spay and neuter clinic, animal cruelty investigation, and adoption referral.  It will be an exciting afternoon of barks, brews, and bands!  There will also be a silent auction, an adoption hour, and dogs are welcome to attend. September 2014: Gardener Publications LLC welcomed new staff, including Alex Johnson as a digital advertising sales assistant, Miriam Cattell as a print advertising sales assistant and Marisa Bank as the publisher's assistant.

September 1, 2014: Gardener Publications LLC today released the Fall-Holiday 2014 issue of Discover Columbia. Features in this issue include 20 Places Everyone Should Eat, exciting Fall events & festivals, hayrides and hauntings, holiday markets & light displays, beautiful neighborhoods around Columbia SC & great places to shop for the perfect holiday gifts! The magazine is available at Publix and Food Lion grocery stores throughout the Columbia region, 60 restaurants, 100 hotels, sidewalk boxes and by direct mail.

July 1, 2014: Gardener Publications LLC today launched columbiafoodienews.com! Features on this fabulous foodie blog include restaurant openings, tasty culinary events, delicious recipes, cooking classes around the Midlands, meal deals and more!

April 29, 2014: Gardener Publications LLC today released the Summer 2014 issue of Discover Columbia.  Features in this issue include This Summer's Top 10 Things to Do, event calendars for May, June, July and August, many suggestions for family fun, maps and visitor information.  The magazine is available at Publix and Food Lion grocery stores throughout the Columbia region, 60 restaurants, 100 hotels, sidewalk boxes and by direct mail.


March, 2014: The Spirit of Lake Murray's new website has launched!  Gardener Publications LLC of West Columbia SC has announced that their work has been completed on the new website and is now online.  Gardener created the new site and integrated an online booking system into the site, allowing customers to reserve the charter boat for special occasions or to purchase tickets online to public cruises.  The website address is lakemurraycruises.com.

January 2, 2014: Today, Gardener Guides has welcomed the new year with its Spring 2014 issue of Discover Columbia featuring a new page size and paper.  Discover Columbia has moved from its digest-size 5.25" x 8.25" to a new larger 7.25" x 9.25" format.  The new issue features a new matte finished paper with a heavier paper weight for its cover.  Kathy Gardener, publisher, said, "We have increased the page size by 50%, growing our physical ad space by 50%.  Now a quarter page ad is equivalent in square inches to our third page in the previous issues.  We feel our advertisers will appreciate bigger advertising spaces and our readers will like the larger pages and nicer paper too.

December 31, 2013: Today, Gardener Publications LLC of West Columbia, SC, purchased the Hotel Advertising Program from Direct Display Co. of Chapin, SC.  The Hotel Advertising Program consists of 35 multi-pocket brochure stands located in hotel properties across the Greater Columbia SC area.  This move enables Gardener to better position its Discover Columbia magazine in these hotels, and also gives Gardener the ability to offer pockets in the stands to businesses wishing to reach hotel guests with rack cards, brochures and menus.
