Start with the South Windermere Shopping Center, believed to be the first shopping center in South Carolina (how historic!) at Folly Road and Windermere Boulevard. This center features Earth Fare (organic and gourmet foods) with an indoor cafe, Starbucks, Med Bistro (great food) and more. Buy shoes, hiking gear, and other goodies at this unique spot! Travel up Savannah Highway (US 17) and find little commercial districts known for places like Gene's Hafbrau (great beer selection!) and Home Team BBQ (really tasty). Easterby’s on Ashley River Road has been voted “best fried shrimp” and shrimp dinner just $6.99!
