Lights Before Christmas

It snows every night at Riverbanks Zoo where you’ll find well over half a million twinkling lights each evening from 6 to 9 pm. Take photos with Santa at Riverbanks’ Holiday Village, roast marshmallows at the Jingle Bell Bonfire, and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa in Palmetto Plaza. Don’t forget to mail a letter to Santa at the Zoo’s Polar Post Office and buy a ticket to see Santa’s Polar Blast at Riverbanks’ 3-D Adventure Theater. Admission is free for Society members and general admission is $5 for children and $7 for adults. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at www.riverbanks.org, by calling (803) 779-8717 or at the Zoo gate. The Zoo is located at 500 Wildlife Pkwy Columbia SC 29210. It can be easily located by taking interstate 26 and getting off at the Greystone Blvd. exit.
