Changing the Face of Medicine
The Richland County Public Library will host the national traveling exhibit
“Changing the Face of Medicine: Celebrating America’s Women Physicians,” which
tells the extraordinary story of how American women such as Matilda Evans,
the first African-American physician to be licensed in South Carolina, struggled
during the past two centuries to gain access to medical education, from Wednesday,
December 20 through Wednesday, February 14 in the Wachovia Gallery of the
Main Library, 1431 Assembly St. For more information and a complete listing
