High School Art Teachers Invitational Exhibit

The Goodall Gallery at Columbia College in Columbia, SC, will present an invitational exhibition of South Carolina High School Art Teachers. The group exhibition features ten of South Carolina’s art educators covering a wide variety of media and content. The exhibit opens January 8 and continues through February 8, 2007, with an artists’ reception on Thursday, January 25, from 6-7:30 p.m.

This exhibition will highlight art educators who also actively pursue their own artistic endeavors. Amy Chapman, Debbie Cooke, Josh Drews, Fred Edgerton, Jessica Houghton, Pam McGill, Lisa Paysen, Catherine Stalk-Vargo, Joe Thompson, and Robert Urban will show a wide variety of media ranging from collage, watercolor, acrylic, sculpture, ceramics, and printmaking to drawing and installation art. As diverse and rich as the media of this show is, so is the content and artists’ background. The exhibition features educators from various parts of the state representing art programs in the Charleston, Columbia, Augusta, Greenville, and Spartanburg areas.

The Columbia College Goodall Gallery is located in the Spears Music and Art Center in downtown Columbia on North Main Street, 1301 Columbia College Drive.
