Chapin Community Theatre |
| Time: |
|
| Description of Event:: |
This play, by Pamela Parker of Atlanta, is a comic yet touching tale of life in a small, rural Georgia town names Second Samuel. Set in 1949, it shows life in this atypical town through the eyes of a narrator B-flat, a Forrest Gump-like character. He takes the audience on a tour during which they meet the optimistic and diverse residents of a place that time almost forget-a group of people who deal with the unexpected and successfully come to grips with unusual circumstances. This poignant work, first presented by the Chapin Community Theatre in 1993, has been compared to Our Town and Steel Magnolias. |
