Mt. Pleasant SC, an incorporated town, is a suburban community located east of the Cooper River, just minutes from downtown Charleston. Mt. Pleasant was founded as a fishing village. Although the town has developed into a modern suburb of Charleston, the village has the look and feel of a small town.
